Robotics could help keep railway infrastructure on track!

Synthotech were at the University of Birmingham this week, presenting to an audience from the rail industry on Robotics and Autonomous Systems.

The full-day event included presentations and interactive workshops exploring robotic innovations from a diverse range of sectors, and how they might be deployed into railway infrastructure.

Wez Little, Innovations Director for Synthotech, with Jon Lelliot, Project Lead at National Grid, gave a detailed presentation on Project GRAID – a “world-first” in developing an advanced robotic platform for use in high pressure large diameter complex pipework.
